About

The POLYTRONICS project is part of the European "Digitizing European Industry" program. An EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) is a group of players whose aim is to create a one-stop shop, either physical or virtual, connecting companies in their territories to the resources and ecosystems they need to succeed in their digital transformation.

The aim of Polytronics is to support polymer materials companies (plastics, textiles, composites and rubbers) in their digital transformation thanks to artificial intelligence (AI). These improvements will involve two areas of innovation:

  • Product innovation: Design and development of innovative, more intelligent polymer products, with new functionalities such as printed electronics.

  • Process innovation: Using AI to improve manufacturing processes, to better manage energy and resources, but also to increase product quality and reduce reject rates.

POLYTRONICS can support you through four key areas:

  1. Test before investing: Prototyping and optimization of manufacturing processes with AI, including R&D, concept validation, technological infrastructure, and testing.

  2. Skills and training: Academic and professional training on AI and smart polymers, including mentorship, educational infrastructures, and workshops.

  3. Investment support: Assistance for businesses through technology monitoring, financial engineering, access to funding, and project development.

  4. Ecosystem and networking: Organization of matchmaking events, ecosystem building, promotion, and innovation awareness.

POLYTRONICS' fields of application include plastics, composites, rubber and technical textiles.
