About me
My name is Akzhan, and I am originally from Kazakhstan. I am a third-year PhD student in Chemistry at the University of Vienna. My academic background is in Materials Science and Polymer Engineering. My PhD program is a collaborative project between the University of Vienna and the Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH.
Previously, I spent two years conducting research on thin-film microbatteries, focusing on the synthesis of LiCoO₂ and Ni-rich thin-film cathodes. Currently, my work involves synthesizing C-Si/SnS₂ nanocomposite anode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) as part of the RESTINA project. I have a deep interest in the fundamental research of battery material properties.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy playing football, though I am not particularly interested in watching it. I also have a passion for exploring different cuisines.
