CDTI acts as Spanish Innovation Agency fostering innovation and internationalization of Spanish entities thorugh the following activities:

Technical-economic evaluation and granting of public funds for R&D&I projects undertaken by companies.

Managing and promoting Spanish participation in international technological cooperation programmes (such as HorizonEurope).

Promoting international business technology transfer and technology innovation support services.

Supporting the creation and consolidation of technology-based companies.
The majority of the CDTI infrastructure is located in Madrid, although it also offers Spanish companies a strategic network 10 of offices or representatives abroad (Belgium; Brazil; Chile; China; India; Japan; ; Korea; Mexico; Morocco; and the USA) to support them in their international technological activities.
