About

The ICTS Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands, managed by the PLOCAN Consortium, facilitates access to and efficient use of the oceanic environment with the greatest environmental and sustainability guarantees, providing scientific laboratories, autonomous vehicles and, in general, technical capacities and means located in the marine environment. The Canary Islands Oceanic Platform Test Bed, also managed by the PLOCAN Consortium, belongs to the distributed ICTS MARHIS (Maritime Aggregated Research Hydraulic Infrastructures) which aims to increase the competitiveness and efficiency of Spanish ICTS in the field of maritime hydraulic engineering (coastal, port and offshore) by offering their infrastructures and associated technological services in a coordinated manner. The agreement for the establishment and coordinated management of MARHIS was signed on 4 January 2021.
