ITER IDEA reaches around 54k users with the Papaya service, a matching system for the Erasmus Student Network, capable of elaborating ranked matches for exchange students in 116 universities in Europe. In detail, the algorithm enables Local Managers to analyse up to 12 features and hundreds of students efficiently and quickly visualise suitable options, saving up weeks compared to previous manual Spreadsheet elaborations. ITER IDEA won the 1st prize in EU Datathon 21 for the category “An economy that works for people” and the Public Choice Award, combining millions of rows of open data with heterogeneous sources, analysing information through AI and geolocation technologies. In 2022, ITER IDEA developed a cloud-based Data Value Chain in collaboration with cities and mobility, cultural and tourism services providers. With this tool, municipalities and service providers can integrate data from large events, such as Las Fallas in Valencia, and create dashboards to analyse how people engage and interact within the city. ITER IDEA cooperates with a European micro-mobility company, Dott, making the Data Value Chain able to elaborate real-time data from more than 16 cities in Italy and Spain.
