We are a Public Sector Enterprise which has always been ahead on the Technology Curve delivering solutions in Telecom and the IT-domain. Today it has become almost indispensable for any IT activity in the North Eastern region, be it for consultancy, design, standardization or taking up turn key projects for development of IT infrastructure in the NE Region. It has immense capacity is the field of data center, cloud services, network, free software, systems design and software development together with a network for education and training. We are also developing a state of the art “Electronic Manufacturing Cluster” in Tech City, Guwahati (www.techcity.in).
We have been funded by Government of India wherein the North Eastern Council & Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India has funded and AMTRON has deployed the following projects having AI components:
1. Project funded by North Eastern Council, Govt of India - 5G Applications In NER with Hub at AMTRON, Guwahati (www.nec5g.org) wherein Health Use Cases have been deployed in East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh which was the first deployment of Industry 4.0 Solutions in NER.
2. Project funded under PM-DeviNE by Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Govt of India - Digital Design and 3D Printing Center of Excellence in the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in collaboration with other Government Agencies to be located at Tech City, Guwahati (www.3dpcoe.in) wherein 3D Printing Dental Lab has been commissioned in NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology), Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. This project is a flagship project showcasing Ease of Living in Healthcare Domain.
3. The 3D Printing Hackathon under the PM-DeviNE 3DP Project conducted under the had active participation of students from all across Arunachal Pradesh and has shown how Industry 4.0 can create new jobs and not take way jobs.
Further, AMTRON is working with National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India (www.nihfw.org) and AIIMS, Guwahati (https://www.aiimsguwahati.ac.in/) and other tertiary care hospitals in 8 States of North East with Pilot Projects for deployment of tools based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving healthcare in remote and hilly terrains of India where the biggest challenge in how to reduce the burden on Out of Pocket Expenses in seeking healthcare. That some of the work areas are as under:
1. Diagnostic Support: We are also planning to use AI in diagnosing diseases by analyzing medical images, lab results, and patient history. This is particularly beneficial in areas with a shortage of healthcare professionals.
1. Cancer Modelling: Use of AI Models in volumetric analysis of cancer CT Images to create digital twin for better understanding of spread of cancer.
2. AI in mass screening of oral cancer cases.
3. AI in bacterial infection detection in wounds in Humans as well as Animals.
2. Remote Monitoring: remote health-monitoring tools equipped with AI can track vital signs and detect anomalies in real-time especially for Geriatrics / Terminally ill patients.
3. Telemedicine: Use of AI-powered telemedicine platforms enable remote consultations, allowing patients in hilly and remote areas to access specialist care for non-critical needs.
4. Predictive Analytics: AI algorithms can analyze health data to predict disease outbreaks and identify at-risk populations. This allows healthcare providers to allocate resources more effectively and prepare for potential health crises.
5. Personalized Treatment Plans: Another focus area of AI would be to create personalized treatment plans based on individual patient data, improving the effectiveness of treatments and patient outcomes.
6. Health Education: AI-driven applications can provide health education and awareness to remote communities, helping them make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
