Standardization to Support AI Innovation in Developing Countries
- AI divide in industry and manufacturing
This session will discuss the main factors of the gap among regions and countries to develop innovations and promote competitiveness and growth through AI. As well as the panel will discuss the value of standards to bridge this gap by providing trust, capabilities, tools and knowledge.
It will also feature a special presentation on the current landscape of international standards in the scope of AI and Innovation Management and a preliminary discussion on the main obstacles and barriers to developing countries' adoption.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will gain insights into the current landscape of standards in the scope of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Management already published and those currently in development.
The panellists will identify the main barriers and obstacles causing this regional gap in AI adoption and capabilities, readiness and maturity level of their innovation ecosystems to collaborate and develop AI solutions s to foster responsible innovation and sustainable growth.
