About

Scottish Water Horizons is a commercial subsidiary of Scottish Water, the national utility providing water & wastewater services to almost 2.5 million households.

As part of Horizon's portfolio, our Development Centres provide innovators an exclusive space to test, develop, and refine their ground-breaking ideas. With live, operational-scale environments, our facilities are the perfect platform for validating and commercialising innovations. We operate two Development Centres; one for wastewater (Bo'ness, near Edinburgh) and another for water (Gorthleck, near Inverness).

Our Development Centres enable users to showcase their innovations through scenario testing across a diverse range of applications, helping research hubs speed up innovation delivery, providing an investor-ready pipeline of new processes and products
