About

Dimitra Stefoudi is Assistant Professor at the International Institute of Air & Space Law of Leiden University and Faculty at the International Space University. She focuses her research and teaching on international space law and policy, with particular interest in space applications, space resources governance, and privacy and cybersecurity in space activities.

Dimitra is Board Member of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Ruimtevaart (NVR, Netherlands Space Society), Board Member of the Space Court Foundation, Assistant Executive Secretary and Individual Member of the International Institute of Space Law, and member of the European Centre for Space Law.

 Dimitra holds an Adv. LL.M. in Air and Space Law from Leiden University, a Master in International Business Law from Tilburg University and a Bachelor in Law from the Law School of Athens. Her PhD thesis on the “Legal and Policy Aspects of Space Big Data” was supported by the Netherlands Space Office and the European Space Agency.
