Project manager at the Institute for Ceramic Technology
My organisation
We are a research centre close to ceramic sector companies, with thorough knowledge and understanding of the ceramic manufacturing process. Moreover, ITC is formed by a highly qualified professional team that has the infrastructure and appropriate technical and scientific equipment to carry out R&D&I projects and technology transfer to companies, with a view to generating innovation and enhancing the international strategic positioning of the ceramic sector.
ITC's creation is grounded in the agreement between the Ceramic Industry Research Association (ITC-AICE) and Universitat Jaume I of Castellón (UJI). University-business cooperation has thus given rise to the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) in response to the needs of companies from the Spanish ceramic cluster.
ITC-AICE also owns the Ceramic Observatory, a competitive intelligence system made up of three specialised platforms: the Market Observatory, the Habitat Trends Observatory, and the Technology Observatory; strengthening its commitment to enhancing ceramic industry competitiveness.
During the last years, ITC-AICE has participated and/or coordinated European projects in the framework of different programmes, including:
· RECONMATIC; StreamSTEP (Horizon Europe)
· SHAREBOX, IbD, REMEB, Smartrec, DREAM, LightCoce, iWAYS and FORGE (H2020)
· LIFE REPLAY, LIFE NANOHEALTH, LIFE Cersuds, LIFE Hypobrick, LIFE EggShellence and FOUNDRYTILE (LIFE programme)
· Skills4EI, Katch-E, Circular Start and SPIRE-SAIS (Erasmus Plus).
ITC-AICE is also member of different European Initiatives, such as: A.SPIRE, ECTP and EUMAT.
Finally, it should be highlighted that ITC-AICE has a department that assures the principle of equality of opportunity and treatment between women and men and fully complies with the gender equality plan eligibility criteria for RTOs under Horizon Europe.
