Wideverse srl is an innovative SME, spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Bari, founded in 2016 and headquartered in Bari. Wideverse focuses on technologies related to spatial computing (virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality) and artificial intelligence (recommendation systems and generative AI). The company was born from the research experience of SisInfLab - the information systems laboratory of the Polytechnic University of Bari with the aim of industrialising the research results and making them products for the market. The team of engineers and researchers works to develop innovative products and solutions in various sectors, the main ones being fashion&retail and manufacturing Wideverse also boasts other awards and tenders won: 2016: winner of the ICT Start cup Puglia section 2019: winner, in partnership with Leonardo, of the AIR4MAM National Military Research Project for immersive maintenance 2019: winner of the TecnoNidi tender of the Puglia Region for the development of innovative solutions based on immersive technologies 2021: winner, as leader, of the first Meditech tender for maintenance and training for industry 4.0 with immersive technologies 2021: winner, in partnership, of the ARIA tender to bring immersive technologies into the operating room, reaching the final phase of experimentation 2023: winner of the call for ideas of the House of Emerging Technologies of Matera with an immersive solution in the educational field 2024: winner of the call for solutions of the House of Emerging Technologies of Matera with TourVerse, a no-code solution to create immersive experiences 2024: winner of the cascade call by the Grins consortium of the University of Bologna for the development of AI solutions based on data virtualization and XR visualization of knowledge graphs Current main clients are OVS Spa and Lutech Spa for which Wideverse is contributing to the development of immersive solutions, recommendation systems and generative AI applications.
