About me
Prof.dr.eng. Tudor Prisecaru, born in 1957, Bucharest, Romania, graduated from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, specialization Classic and Nuclear Thermomechanical Equipment, in 1982. He obtained the title of Doctor in Engineering sciences in 1991.
Starting with 1984 he has worked at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Classic and Nuclear Thermomechanical Equipment Department, where he is Professor since 2001. Starting March 2016, until July 2020 he was Vice-Rector at UPB.
He has been the President of the National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation, since May 2012 until February 2016, and Invited professor at École des Mines de Nantes, France, since 2008. He also served as State Secretary at the Ministry of National Education, January 2013 – January 2015.
At present, he is the President of the Senate of the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest and also State Secretary at the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization.
Since February 2017, Prof. Prisecaru has been member of the Board of Directors at the International Research Institute Theodore Von Karman.
His main research interests include: the study of the combustion processes, risk and air pollution phenomena, efficiency improvement of combustion technologies. He participated in the elaboration of more than 40 research development and innovation projects, in the mentioned areas, and has been project director for 20 research projects.
