Bogdan Iliescu

Dr. Bogdan Iliescu, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor at “Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iași, and a senior neurosurgeon whose primary practice is at the “Prof. Oblu” Emergency Clinical Hospital, Iași. He has developed an interest in functional neurosurgery, minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques, and image-guided surgery of the brain and spine. Dr. Iliescu is passionate about teaching; he lectures, demonstrates, and leads numerous neurosurgery workshops both nationally and internationally. He has developed a strong interest and experience in basic and clinical neuroscience during his postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Texas in Houston and Rice University, Houston. Dr. Iliescu is the author of numerous chapters in national and international textbooks, having written over 10 chapters and 50 papers in specialized journals, along with over 50 contributions to specialized conferences. He continues his clinical career and studies in theoretical neuroscience with the same enthusiasm.
