About
The Technology Transfer and Innovation Centre (TTC-WUT), founded under the Advanced Environmental Research Institute (AERI) of West University of Timișoara (WUT), bears the primary purpose of coordinating the valorization of scientific research through the technology transfer of research results towards economic operators with either state or private capital. TTC-WUT aims to bring more efficiency into the process of transformation of scientific progress into tangible products and services, with authentic impact on the community, the economic operators, and the academic and research community.
Even more, the TTC-WUT mission is to stimulate WUT’s collaboration with other universities, institutes of research and economic agents in order to facilitate experience exchanges, good practices and technological transfer in priority fields such as Technology Information and Communications, Environment and Energy Efficiency, Health and Life Quality. Therefore, TTC-WUT can be seen as a mechanism of support and development of innovation and technology transfer, as well as a mechanism of dissemination, propagation and valorization of scientific research results from the preferred fields. This is completed in order to produce, transmit and capitalize knowledge. TTC-WUT supports the founding of start-ups and spin-offs that integrate research results and facilitate technology transfer.
Along with the above mentioned objectives, TTC-WUT aims to develop a more grounded institutional culture in the field of research, innovation and technology transfer, both for the academic and administrative personnel, as well as for the students of WUT, increasing the visibility of research activities in the local, regional, national and european socio-economic environment. The center also consults the academic community in regard to the application of its mission, objectives, and innovation and technology transfer strategy
