About

The dry spray-printing (DSP) technique with special solvent-free powder feedstock is developed and tried. DSP is completely solvent-free and dry. DSP process is based on the low-pressure cold spraying (LPCS) technique which uses particle acceleration by propellant gas in the De Laval nozzle and achieves particle velocity near the speed of sound. The LPCS process is fulfilled due to the particle strain during particle impact onto a substrate. In the case of battery electrode manufacturing, the special solvent-free powder feedstock is developed and tried in the pilot DSP process of active material deposition on the current collectors (Cu and Al foils) of both cathodes and anodes.
