Bruce is an award-winning venture capital investor in Africa, with a proven return track record in both tech and traditional sectors (over 55 investments).

About me

Bruce Nsereko-Lule has over 12 years of experience in Venture Capital and Investment Banking across Frontier and Emerging Markets. He is a passionate supporter of entrepreneurship in Africa and has sat on the boards of various initiatives to support its growth (including being a founding Advisory Board for BFA's Global Catalyst Fund's Inclusive Digital Accelerator in Ghana). He is a General Partner at Seedstars Africa Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund providing more substantial support to entrepreneurs in anglophone and francophone Africa to build the next generation of the continent’s leading businesses. SAV has raised over USD 50m and invested several million dollars in rapidly scaling startups.

Before this, Bruce established and led the operations of Chandaria Capital, an award-winning, sector-agnostic Venture Capital fund based in Kenya. Under his leadership, Chandaria Capital invested in over 30 pioneering African start-ups, many of which are now confidently scaling across Africa, including household names such as Wasoko, Koko Networks, TradeDepot, Helium Health, and Carry1st. Bruce left Chandaria Capital at a time the fund had achieved industry leading return rates; the portfolio has subsequently raised close to USD 500 million.

Bruce started his career as an investment professional at Credit Suisse in London. He holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School and a BSc in Economics with Politics from Loughborough University.
