About

The EU4Ocean Coalition (www.eu-oceanliteracy.eu) is a European Commission DG MARE initiative that connects existing efforts in Ocean Literacy, mobilises people across Europe, and stimulates collaborations to co-design new actions in Ocean Literacy. It comprises three communities that will be present at the European Maritime Day conference:

  • The EU4Ocean Platform is a collaborative platform that brings together organisations and people from various sectors, including academia, industry, civil society, and government, to work towards a common goal of protecting and sustainably managing the ocean.

  • The Youth4Ocean Forum brings together young changemakers between 16 and 30 years old who are passionate about the Ocean.

  • The Network of European Blue Schools aims to inspire teachers, school directors or staff of education services, to challenge their students, from kindergarten, primary, lower and upper secondary, technical or vocational schools, to Find the Blue and develop a project that links them to the ocean.
