About me
Daniel Pavón Piscitello is the Deputy Director in Latin America for CIDEAL. He holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in Law, as well as graduate degrees in International Relations, Planning and Public Policy. He is a specialist in the European Union, graduated from the Spanish Diplomatic School and has been a researcher at the Max Planck Institutes of International Law in Heidelberg and Hamburg (Germany). With extensive experience in the design, management, monitoring and evaluation of development projects, Daniel serves as an instructor, teacher and author in the fields of Project Cycle Management (PCM) with a focus on human rights, development and law. In addition, he has significant professional experience in project management in the field of collaboration between public and private entities in several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, among other countries.

CIDEAL Foundation for Cooperation and Research (www.cideal.org) is a distinguished and non-profit organization with over 40 years of extensive experience in research, training, and technical assistance within the realm of international cooperation and development projects. Notably, CIDEAL has excelled in making social services accessible, focusing particularly on vulnerable groups. The organization's expertise extends to services related to health, employment, and justice, especially in case of GBV.
Over the years, CIDEAL has been at the forefront of implementing development projects in developing countries, showcasing significant proficiency in various sectors. Notably, the foundation has made substantial contributions in civil society, governance, human rights, education, vocational training, gender equality, women empowerment, and rural development. Collaborating with esteemed entities such as the European Commission, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), La Caixa Foundation, UN Women, and other public and private donors underscores CIDEAL's commitment to impactful international cooperation.
As a research center, CIDEAL endeavors to enhance the effectiveness of international development aid, offering postgraduate programs, monographic courses, seminars, workshops, and online courses via its dedicated online campus. With a publishing house that has produced over 80 books to date, CIDEAL contributes to the academic enrichment of the international cooperation sector.
Operating as an open laboratory, CIDEAL identifies innovative ideas, transforms them into action plans. The organization is renowned for its know-how, methodology, and results-oriented approach in implementing projects and programs. With headquarters in Madrid (Spain) and additional offices throughout various international locations, CIDEAL coordinates and executes programs with a team of around 50 employees, comprising permanent staff and project collaborators.
