Bioprospecting and optimized production of terrestrial natural products: new opportunities for bio-based sectors
About
Innovaplast is Türkiye’s first biotechnology company specializing in the microbial production of fully biodegradable bioplastics (PHB). We actively seek project partners for Horizon Europe Cluster 6 – 2025 calls, focusing on sustainable biotechnological innovations, circular bioeconomy solutions, and environmentally friendly bioprocesses.
Our core competencies include:
• Bioprocess optimization for bio-based materials using renewable feedstocks • Discovery, selection, and scaling-up of efficient microbial strains from lab-scale to pilot-scale (5–500 L) • Sustainable utilization of agro-industrial by-products (e.g., molasses) as renewable carbon sources • Development and implementation of green biotechnological processes to minimize plastic pollution and fossil fuel dependency • Comprehensive upstream and downstream processing including fermentation, product recovery, and purification • Integration of circular economy principles into practical industrial applications
We actively contribute to developing: • Innovative circular business approaches promoting resource efficiency and sustainability • Novel microbial technologies leveraging terrestrial bio-resources for sustainable product development • Advanced environmental biotechnologies aimed at pollution reduction and ecosystem remediation • Bio-based solutions demonstrating significant reductions in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions • Digitalization and optimization of bio-based production processes and value chains • Practical implementation of bioeconomy strategies aligned with EU sustainability and green transition goals
With extensive experience as a partner in EU-funded projects (ACTPAC, Predictive Q+, Eurostars), Innovaplast offers strong expertise in microbial biotechnology, bioprocess development, and sustainable biopolymer production.
We seek collaborations with academic institutions, industry leaders, and technology providers committed to driving innovative, scalable, and sustainable bio-based solutions in alignment with European Green Deal objectives.
