CLIMATE-04: Monitoring, reporting, verification and mitigation of non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions and related air pollutants from agriculture
Professor of Computer Science, Faculty Lead for AI,Digital and Cyber Physics Systems Theme at Manchester Metropolitan University
Manchester, United Kingdom
About
We offer expertise in AI, big data analytics, robotics, and remote sensing to support the monitoring, reporting, verification (MRV), and mitigation of non-CO₂ emissions from agriculture. Our technologies integrate high-resolution UAV imagery, IoT sensor data, and vision-based nitrogen assessment tools to enable nitrogen-related monitoring and support sustainable nutrient management.
Our team brings strong technical capability to develop advanced methods for spatial pattern detection and emission risk analysis, working in collaboration with MRV and modelling experts.
Role in the Consortium
We seek to join as a technology and data partner, contributing:
-
AI and remote sensing pipelines for nitrogen monitoring
-
Robotics and UAV platforms for automated data collection
-
Data integration and analytics to support MRV and mitigation planning
-
Co-development of digital tools with researchers and end users
Type of Partner Sought
We are looking for:
-
GHG and air quality researchers with MRV and modelling expertise
-
