Vilniaus Kolegija is the largest accredited higher professional education institution in Lithuania and the Baltic States. FACULTY OF AGROTECHNOLOGIES

The Faculty of Agrotechnologies promotes a unique approach to study where students have the opportunity to experience the creative learning environment, gain practical business experience and advance their entrepreneurial ideas. Close cooperation and partnerships with Lithuanian and international companies and organisations ensure that students acquire the most up-to-date knowledge and international experience essential for today’s employability and successful career prospects. The Faculty of Agrotechnologies offers study programmes that combine the fields of environment, food, technology, business and agriculture. The Faculty develops the intellectual capacity of young students and equips them with knowledge, practical skills and attitudes to positively influence sustainable agricultural development and the wise use of environmental resources. The Faculty itself has green parks and open spaces that provide a very picturesque backdrop for studying.

LABORATORIES & CENTER & CLINIC:

  1. The chemistry laboratories use advanced analytical methods in spectrophotometry, chromatography (GC, HPLC) and electrochemistry. These methods provide a deeper understanding of the chemical properties and composition of materials and allow the assessment of applications in a wide range of fields.

  2. The food technology laboratories apply the latest techniques and technologies for processing fruit, berries and vegetables, such as freeze-drying and fermentation. Standard techniques are used to analyse the sensory properties of food (appearance, texture, consistency, taste). The laboratories aim to generate new knowledge, promote the sustainable use of plant raw materials and develop innovation in food technology.

  3. VikoFlora Ornamental Plants and Planting Centre.

  4. VIKO Veterinary Clinic: mobile laser, blood analysers, Digital Radiography X-ray machine, dental cleaning system, video endoscopic system, diagnostic ultrasound  machine.
