Session 7: Collaborative Pathways to Innovation: Enhancing Urban Mobility through Strategic Alliances
- Stream 3: Inclusive and safe mobility for all
As urban areas transition towards sustainable, efficient, and user-centric transportation systems, the role of collaborative partnerships bringing together public and private stakeholders, industry and research has become crucial. This session will explore how CCAM Partnership, 2Zero Partnership, Driving Urban Transition Partnership and EU RAIL and their respective cross-sectorial stakeholders in the domains of connected, cooperative and automated mobility, transport electrification, urban transformation and integrated rail systems can complement and enhance the CIVITAS initiative.
Framed within the EU’s climate and mobility goals, the session will examine how these partnerships drive technological advancements, new planning concepts and infrastructure development, and how they can contribute to the overarching goal of creating climate-neutral cities. This session aims to provide a comprehensive overview of how the CIVITAS Initiative can potentially benefit from their expertise, knowledge exchange, capacity building, co-programming and funding opportunities, and identify opportunities for mutual reinforcement and synergies.
