Plenary: Supporting the Scale-up and Deployment of Innovative Urban Mobility Solutions

This session will bring together key stakeholders in the field of urban mobility innovation to discuss the opportunities and mechanisms to support the scale-up and deployment of impactful and viable solutions that help cities across Europe achieve their climate goals and improve the quality of life of their citizens. The session will include the vision of cities eager to explore and deploy innovative solutions, with a representative of the Innovation Agency of the city of Helsinki. It will also explain the funding and financing mechanisms from the EIT Urban Mobility, the European Investment Bank and the European Innovation Council (EIC) that support both innovators in scaling their solutions and cities in deploying them, and the perspective from a solution that benefited from these mechanisms to scale and generate a positive impact in European cities. Finally, a representative from the Big Buyer Initiative will share how public procurement can be a key tool in deploying innovative urban mobility solutions in European cities.
