seabreath wave energy
About
Seabreath is a new high efficiency technology producing energy from the sea
Seabreath wave energy is a new high efficiency technology producing energy from the sea developed by Seabreath LLC. The device is an multi-chamber oscillating water columns wave energy converter (OWCs WEC).
It looks like a floating pier anchored near-shore, it creates usable space, easily transportable, istallable, modular, scalable and with an environmental impact almost null if not positive, for the fish repopulation and for the contrast of the erosion of the coast as a break-water.
The high efficiency, the exploitation of a large wave portion, combined with other interesting peculiarities make it a top element of the field.
The difference, compared to other devices, is: the hight efficiency, the hight level of production and lower costs.
The structure is thinked made with recicled containers, used both as an oscillation chamber and for shipment, to maximize efficiency it must have at least the length of the wave and could be made with a new kind of reticular, modular and tubular structure of our ideations. It is extremely strong against adverse climatic conditions and it has an automatic non electronic emergency system. It was also thinked a new smart kind of anchorage.
The typical noise pollution of the other Oscillating Water Column devices is practically reduced to a breath of the external valvs, which increase efficiency by up to 30%, from which the name.
The project is going to start the TRL7 phase and has needs of a partner
