Technology leaps in wind & ocean energy - using novel generator technology
About
Hagnesia develop a novel direct drive generator that:
-
saves up to 90 % of material use (thus extremely compact & lightweight),
-
has an efficiency of 96-99 % (depending on application),
-
suitable for high torque and low speed operation (wind & ocean energy).
We already have an ongoing NextGen project to develop and test a MW-sized generator for conventional wind power. We now invite technology developers of more novel power technologies to investigate if and how our generator could help improve performance, economy and sustainability of their system. Aiming at TRL4-5 within the project.
