BIM and Digital Twin

Objective

In the scope of module CM2024-10 Clean energy integration in the built environment we are able to join a consortium that seeks for partners to cover Challenge 2: Digitalisation of the whole life cycle of a building (planning, construction, commissioning, operation, decommissioning and disposal).

Expertise

We have expertise in the development of BIM models using IFC and connect them with sensors and IoT devices that exist in the real assets thus obtaining a digital. Finally, we have also experience in the development of web-based interfaces to interact with the digital twin and manage the real asset through it.

Previous projects

In GOA.BI and CMMS projects, we've developed web platforms with functionalities similar to mobile and holographic applications, such as viewing and manipulating 3D models, consisting of an interface that makes it easier to enter textual information and manage stored data. Those were used to manage different types of assets (bridges and buildings), throughout their lifecycle, integrating real-time data from the sensors located on those assets.
