Energy communities as the foundation of a society based on renewable energy
About
There lays a big, untapped potential in flexibility options, energy sharing and energy communities. With this project, we want to increase local energy consumption, enable local storage and adjust demand to the current available generation with flexibility and energy management options within energy communities - all under the headline of reduced complexity and user friendliness.
Our overall goal is to reduce the entrance barriers of energy communities and energy sharing. We want to develop an easy to use, replicable concept to set up energy communities, especially for socially deprived living infrastructures. This concept includes on the technical side the energy management (including storage, flexibility options, renewable generation) but also an economic framework and business model for a replicable realization.
We're a consortium of currently 4 partners, one university, one research organization, one private company and one energy community cooperation, looking for additional partners who are sharing our vision to explore the options of energy sharing, flexibility options and energy storage.
In case you’re interested, please reach out to us. We’re looking forward hearing from you!
