Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage
About
The Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes(Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes - Home (dlr.de)) expands DLR's research portfolio by focusing on CO2 reduction in industrial processes. The focus is on the specific requirements and research needs for decarbonization in many industrial sectors (paper, food, plastics, steel, cement, petrochemicals, chemicals, aluminum production, coal). At the same time, the institute's research topics complement DLR developments on sustainable power generation and storage.
The department of Simulation and Virtual Design is interested in developing methodology for Industrial decarbonization of energy intensive industries through CCUS. This can be achieved with the help of simulation tools and making taylor fit CCUS designs according to industrial emissions. The department hosts teams working in the field of different optimization methods, Process Integration and process design. We are seeking consortium with expert R&D institutions working in field of CCUS and industries which are highly interested in implementation of such technology at their plant site.
