The University of Gabes, is a University in the south of Tunisia created on August 4, 2003 to contribute to the development of teaching and scientific research in the South-East District (Gabes Governorate, Medenine Governorate, Tataouine Governorate, Kebili Governorate).
Fifteen Higher Education and Research Institutions (Engineering School, Faculty of Sciences and 13 Higher Institutes) belong to the University of Gabes.
It contains 10 Laboratories and 11 research units, and one doctoral school "Sciences, Engineering and Society" and more than 1200 scientific publications since 2012.
The University contains Nearly 740 teacher-researchers divided into10 major fields: Engineering Sciences and Techniques, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies, Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences and Water Sciences, Letters, Arts and Culture, biotechnology, and Sociology.
The University of Gabes collaborates on the project with the Department of Engineering School and its research laboratories, contributing its monitoring expertise and extensive experience with intelligent process control. UNIVGB has gained expertise in European initiatives through two H2020 projects.
The University of Gabes also shows extensive background in publishing reputed articles related to the control of renewable energy systems and hydrogen production and storage, and life cycle production of hydrogen production.
