About

The Chemistry-Materials Science Department of the Faculty of Engineering of Mons (UMONS, Belgium), coordinating the ECRA (European Cement Reseach Academy) Chair, has a recognized experience in scientific and technical studies related to the CO2 Capture and Utilization (CCUS) theme. The Department is able to perform technology assessments (technology watch, maturity study of CO2 capture, purification and conversion technologies, including specificities for CO2 capture from flue gas from cement plants, power plants, incineration plants, etc. ), as well as expertise in the development of models and simulations of capture processes (absorption-regeneration, adsorption, cryogenic condensation/liquefaction), purification and catalytic conversion of CO2, as well as in the associated techno-economic and environmental studies (Life Cycle Assessment - LCA).
