TerrAria srl is an Innovative SME established in 1999 in Milan with the aim to join IT (Information Technology) with sustainability, decarbonization and climate transition expertise. TerrAria currently consists of close-knit and multidisciplinary team of 20 employees with articulated know-how (IT experts, computer engineers, physicists, environmental and energetic engineers and urban planners). TerrAria provides consultancy to public authorities, research institutions and companies about (1) environmental and energy planning in the energy transition view, (2) strategic and environmental impact assessment with a mitigation and adaptation approach, (3) development of ad hoc Web applications with geographic databases and decision support modeling. TerrAria is organized in three Business Units:

• Governance and energy-environmental models, evaluating the interaction between project scenarios and environment, through the implementation of forecasting models and energy-environmental balances;
• Software design and development, offering tailor-made web application, developing decision support systems (DSS), with an open source oriented approach and WebGIS with geo-referenced services (thematic maps);
• Research and Development, due to its own multi-knowledge attitude, TerrAria has won more than 10 European tenders/projects to date: LIFE, ESA, ECMWF, UIA, IEE, Interreg and FP7.
