NCSR Demokritos

The National Centre for Scientific Research Demokritos is the largest Interdisciplinary Research Centre of Greece. It hosts the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology which has a large variety of activities in the field of Advanced Materials and a large number of state of the art equipment such as a Talos Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope. Self cleaning and antiviral surfaces, magnetic multilayers, photonic nanoparticles, gas sensors are only a few of our materials and devices. NCSR Demokritos is participating and coordinating a large number of projects for the Clean Energy Transition; for example we have recently coordinated a Solar ERANET project on self-cleaning coatings for Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) applications.
