The Chair of Power Electronics at Kiel University has been involved power electronics and power system research since 2013, when Prof. Dr. Marco Liserre took the lead of the Chair. The Chair’s involvement in energy-related projects is confirmed by the number of publications in international conferences and journals and by the participation to many national and European projects. Common projects with local industries allow a smooth technological transfer of the competences to the production environment. The Chair offers Bachelor’s and Master’s courses related to electrical engineering, in particular power electronics, electric drives and smart grids. Starting in 2020, an Erasmus Mundus Joint master’s degree on electric vehicle propulsion and control is established.
