HydrogenTech is a technological company from Krakow, Poland, which is involved in the production and development of solid oxide cells. Our main technological advantage among the competition is our internationally patent-protected high-temperature SOC double-sided cell (DSC). Hydrogen-powered double-sided cells are based on an all-ceramic design with active layers integrated symmetrically on both sides increasing the active surface area while reducing the cell's dimensions and avoiding the need for application of traditional interconnectors. The reversibility allows the cell to operate not only in electricity generation mode, but also in hydrogen production (electrolysis) mode. The invention was awarded gold medals at the Concours Lepine 2015 International Invention Fair in Paris and INTARG 2015 in Krakow, as well as the Honorary Medal of the Jury of the Taipei Invention Fair 2014. Recently Hydrogentech team successfully completed research and development project funded by NCBiR (~3 mln Euro budget) in which 1 kW mCHP Solid Oxide Fuel Cell unit prototype based on DSC technology was successfully developed.
