Hydrogen to Liquid Fuels and Chemicals via Biotechnology

Yusuf Küçükağa

Dr. at Gebze Technical University

Istanbul, Türkiye

About

Hydrogen gas when coupled with CO2 by carbon capture technologies, can serve as a building block material for obtaining high concentrations of green chemicals (e.g. acetic acid) and bio-fuels (e.g. ethanol) by anaerobic fermentation. We have developed a novel bio-tool which provides an extremely productive bioconversion of Hydrogen gas into fermentation products (Kucukaga et al. 2023).
