AgroInsider (co2.agroinsider.com; forest.agroinsider.com; www.agroinsider.com), “seal of excellence” company (EU-H2020) and EUREKA Artificial Intelligence and Eureka ITEA Cluster seals, founded in 2015, provides Agriculture 4.0 services to the Agroindustrial value chain using Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing tools using satellite data from the ESA’s Copernicus program. AgroInsider developed the SmartAG platform that provides: large scale accurate agricultural climate services (ACS) available to all farmers, agronomists and companies through monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV); reference curves for CO2, water, NKP, food footprints considering different regions and/or geographies, in order to develop value-added information for its various clients; calculation of CO2 footprints and emissions to improve traceability procedures for food production systems targeting SDG markets; carbon sequestration potential of forests and agroforestry systems to be used as a carbon sink to reduce agriculture footprints while at the same time promote new business models for farmers in the voluntary carbon market.

Doctoral dissertation entitled “Ecosystem functioning of protected area networks. A remote sensing assessment across socio-ecosystem contexts”.

M.Sc. in Biology and Marine Resources Management at the Sciences Faculty of University of Lisbon, Portugal, with Good with honor on a scale of Good, Good with honor and Very Good, in March 2007. Master dissertation entitled “The Tróia Sewage Treatment Plant in the Natural Reserve of Sado estuary: the impact in the adjacent environment”.
