Cradle-ALP – Circular Alpine Space community

Matchmaking Event: Wood-Furniture Innovation & Circularity

Monday, May 26, 2025 - 15:00  – 18:00

This event is dedicated to promoting circular innovation in the wood-furniture sector, bringing together companies, designers, researchers, and other stakeholders from the Alpine Space region (Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia & Switzerland) who are committed to tackling shared challenges and building new circular value chains.

The conference will provide an overview of the regulatory framework affecting the sector and explore innovative practices such as design for disassembly, modularity, surface treatments for reclaimed wood, and 3D printing with wood-based materials — offering practical insights and solutions for SMEs in transition toward circularity.

The event will be followed by a matchmaking and networking session open to all SMEs. If your company is developing circular wood-based products or looking for business or technological partners across borders, this is your opportunity to connect, exchange, and collaborate within a growing transnational community.

As part of the Cradle-ALP project, this matchmaking event is one of five sector-specific initiatives — Composites & Polymers, Chemistry & Materials, Textile, Packaging, and Wood/Furniture — designed to support SMEs in the Alpine Space in advancing circular innovation through strategic cooperation
