Alan Ivković

I am consultant orthopedic surgeon, a founder and CEO of the Poliklinika Ivković LLC - a niche private institution for regenereative and reconstructive medicine. I also work as a vice chair of the Dpt. of OrthopaedicSurgeryat the University Hospital“Sveti Duh”in Zagreb. In addition I have academic affiliationwithSchool of Medicine University of Zagreb and withUniversity for Applied Health Sciences inZagreb. I authored numerous scientific articles published in peer-reviewed journals, as wellas numerous chapters in books and encyclopedias. As an International Fulbright Fellow I spent academic year 2007/2008 in the Center for Molecular Orthopaedics at Harvard University inBoston, USA.He is also graduate of the Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program. My professional focus is adult lower extremity reconstructive surgery (including jointreplacement and soft tissue surgery), as well as bone and cartilage tissue engineering. I a, a team leader of the Croatian partner in the international consortium within EU FP7 project BIO-COMET and HORIZON 2020project BIO-CHIP. As an official physician of the Croatian Water Polo Federation I participated in 2012 London Olympic Games (gold medalist), European Championships in Zagreb 2010 (gold medalist) and World Championships in Melbourne 2007 (gold medalist)
