Lukas Leitner

Lukas is a core member of Lakestar's Deep Tech team, instrumental in building it from the ground up. Initially driven by a passion for rockets and SpaceTech, he broadened his expertise to include Future of Compute, Novel Energy, Computational Biology, Robotics, and Dual Use technologies. He co-authored the European Deep Tech Reports, shaping the continent's innovation narrative.

Before Lakestar, Lukas was a Consultant at BCG, gaining cross-industry experience through buy- and sell-side due diligences, business model development with BCG Digital Ventures, and portfolio strategy design for a European wealth fund.

He holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, a Master's in Management from HEC Paris, and a second Master's from Yale. With a background in Finance and Philosophy, Lukas traded PowerPoint and Excel for his passion for Deep Tech.

An avid athlete, he enjoys running, cycling, hiking, and trail running. A highlight of his adventures is hiking to Camp 1 of Nanga Parbat in Pakistan.
