The Vice President for Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations is in charge of the Executive Board domain Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations. In this capacity, the vice president is responsible for strategic guidance and forging links between ETH Zurich and technology transfer partners, assuring quality in knowledge transfer and corporate relations, utilising research results and collaborating with industry, as well as facilitating the transfer of knowledge into society as a whole. The vice president’s authority also extends to the approval of research contracts agreed between ETH Zurich entities and third parties whose main purpose is the application of research results and collaboration with industry partners, support for spin-​offs and the promotion of future entrepreneurs. The vice president sits on external bodies in the field of innovation and business development and is responsible for ETH Zurich’s participation in spin-​off companies.
