Head of Research Antenna Systems (m/f/d)

What you will do:

• Define the EAS Research Strategy and contribute to the overall Ericsson Research Strategy

• Own and drive the Antenna Long-term Product Plan (LPP)

• Continuously develop competence in key research areas

• Define and improve tools and processes in the research domain

• Realize improvements and enable innovation

• Work with academic organizations and drive external research activities (Government, Customers, External Partners)

• Foster a strong collaboration with diverse Research and R&D functions across Ericsson

You will bring:

• Master´s degree, University degree or PhD in Electronics, RF, Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent qualification

• 10+ years of experience in R&D, experience in Antenna, RF and / or Radio technology is particularly advantageous

• In-depth technical understanding of Antenna and Radio technology with expertise in Radio networks and a broad understanding of RF HW

• Very good knowledge in 5G and the upcoming next generation telecommunication standards combined with a good understanding of the global Telecom / ICT industry

• Experience in multiphysics simulation is a plus

• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to drive change targeting customer centricity, continuous improvement and innovation within an agile international environment

• Strong ability to build relationships and interact in larger organizations – creating win-win situations between product areas, development units and customer focused roles

• Experience with publicly funded projects, government regulation as well as funding authorities (especially German / European authorities)

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

• Highly analytical approach with a strong result-orientation

• Full proficiency in English, both written and spoken
