About
Ian Holmes supports innovative SMEs in the North of England and across the Globe as part of the Innovate UK Business Growth Support. He manages the UK / Singapore AgriFood Global Incubator Programme and has supported SMEs on programmes in Europe, Colombia, Africa, China and Russia. . He has a background in Engineering and resource efficiency and has managed and written bids for both UK and EU funding applications.
Ian has supported SMEs in Tech Transfer and accessing funding since 2002. He has been an assessor for the EC. Previously Ian was UK NCP AgriFood and Bioeconomy for H2020 at Innovate UK.
In his youth, Ian served in the Royal Navy as Marine Engineering Artificer, before studying Engineering & Environmental Science at Sheffield Hallam University UK and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
