Workshop 2: Protecting intellectual property on online services

The workshop will discuss the state of play and state of the art of intellectual property protection online, and the impacts the Digital Services Act is expected to make in this environment. Speakers from all sides of the ecosystem will discuss the requirements and opportunities of the DSA with regards in IP rights, from counterfeit products on online marketplaces to copyright infringements on social media.

In particular, participants will discuss the systemic risks related to intellectual property present on very large online platforms, and the available means to mitigate them in consideration of users fundamental right to freedom of expression and information.
