Everyone has tried ChatGPT. The companies pulling ahead are the ones with AI working quietly inside their daily processes – dispatch, HR, customer service, production planning, back office – with measurable results. Getting a company from the first stage to the second is harder than it looks, and it has little to do with knowing how to write a prompt. It's about making new technology behave reliably inside an existing, running business, with real data, real users and real constraints.

That is what I do. I'm Alexey, CEO & Co-Founder of EMBIQ – a software and AI engineering company with teams in Lublin (Poland) and Graz (Austria), where I'm based.

A typical engagement starts with us sitting down with the people who actually run a process, mapping how it really works, and finding the two or three places where automation or an AI agent pays back fastest. Then we integrate it with whatever the company already uses (ERP, CRM, telephony, spreadsheets, a 15-year-old database) and stay to make sure it keeps working. Often this means combining existing SaaS components smartly, with custom code only where it truly adds value.

Recent examples: an AI voice agent that calls back job applicants within fifteen minutes for a staffing company handling hundreds of applications a week; AI assistants taking over routine coordination tasks so the team can focus on exceptions; document and offer automation for manufacturers and e-commerce; and, closer to my own roots, connected-vehicle telematics deployed across Europe for an automotive brand.

Those roots matter. For most of the last fifteen years we built software and connected hardware for other people's products: embedded firmware, IoT platforms, mobile apps, telematics devices that sit in cars and talk to the cloud. That is where we learned how to ship things that have to work every day, which is exactly the discipline AI in operations needs now.

We work mostly with companies outside the IT sector – manufacturing, logistics, field service and facility management, e-commerce, energy and utilities, professional services – and we pair with a legal partner on AI Act and GDPR compliance, so what we build is both useful and defensible.

At Zukunftstag I'm looking to meet:
– companies in the Styrian ecosystem that are past the "we should do something with AI" stage and want a concrete first process to start with,
– electronics and embedded players who want AI on the product and production side, alongside sales and marketing,
– partners – engineering firms, consultancies, clusters – who see the same demand and would like someone to build and run the technical side.
