Matchmaking at the 'Dutch economic mission Biotech and Hightech/Semicon to Switzerland'
The Swiss market offers many opportunities for Dutch companies active in the area of Biotech and Hightech / Semicon. From 9 - 11 September 2025 the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is organising the Dutch economic mission Biotech and High-tech / Semicon to Switzerland together with Ms Hanneke Boerma, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade.
As part of the mission programme matchmaking & networking events are organised for Swiss companies to meet the Dutch delegation on 10 September in Bern and Villigen.
The aim of this Dutch economic mission is to introduce the Dutch delegation and let them network with Swiss organisations. This mission is structured around two primary tracks: Biotech and Hightech / Semicon.

Biotech
This sector program focuses on innovations within biotechnology, where biomedical research intersects with technological advancements. These innovations are shaping the future of healthcare. For example, consider regenerative medicine, cell therapies, gene therapies, and organ-on-chip technologies.
Hightech / Semicon
This sector program is for Dutch suppliers operating in the field of Hightech/Semicon seeking collaboration partners and/or OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), Chip Design and Engineering in Switzerland, with a particular focus on semiconductor, High Tech and precision technology.
Opportunities for Swiss companies
Last year, the Netherlands and Switzerland formalized their partnership by signing an agreement to enhance collaboration in research, technology, and innovation. The similarities between Swiss and Dutch business cultures contribute significantly to the success of their joint efforts, fostering effective collaboration and achieving impressive results.
Biotech
The Netherlands has a strong ecosystem in these areas, with excellent research institutions and a thriving startup and SME landscape. This track is supported by Health~Holland. They operate as a catalyst for innovation in the Dutch Life Sciences & Health (LSH) sector, dedicated to generating both economic growth and societal benefits.
Hightech / Semicon
Collaboration between Dutch and Swiss players could accelerate innovation, design and engineering in equipment for the High Tech industries, like Semicon/Hightech, Medical and diagnostic technologies. Additionally, this mission offers an opportunity to introduce Swiss partners to the Chip NL Competence Center, led by High Tech NL. They play an important role in the Dutch high-tech sector by fostering innovation, promoting collaboration, and addressing pressing societal challenges

Registration
The matchmaking events offers a great opportunity to Swiss companies to meet innovative Dutch companies and research institutions with technologies, products or services.
As a Swiss participant, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a matchmaking event focused on biotechnology in Bern, or a High-Tech/Semicon event in Villigen. Additionally, the Dutch ambassador will host a networking event in the evening in Bern designed to facilitate connections with the Dutch delegation.

The matchmaking is organized by the Enterprise Europe Network partners, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and Innosuisse. The Dutch economic mission is organised by RVO together with, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of the Netherlands in Bern and the Dutch stakeholders: VNO-NCW, High Tech NL and Health~Holland.
