About the business:
Oseng-Rees Reflection Ltd is a Consultancy and Design Service for Artisan Bespoke Recycled Glass Artworks. We create sustainable artisan fused recycled glass artwork for interior and architectural installations using only recycled glass. Our aim is to reduce our carbon footprint by using only recycled glass and to provide beautiful, unique pieces of art for both commercial and residential spaces.
About the fused recycled glass material:
The recycled glass material can be used as interior wall cladding, backlight reception desk, privacy screens, tiles, light fixtures, awards and even external cladding. The glass material does not look like or behave like glass, and it has been compared to a stone or a marble. It is a unique and sustainable material and currently the only business in UK making architectural panels from 100% waste glass. Material testing has been conducted in collaboration with several Welsh universities and at Lucideon Limited, an accredited UCAS test laboratory, specifically for outdoor applications such as freeze-thaw testing and heat and humidity testing. The successful test results have led to its first application in an outdoor space, where 800 tiles were manufactured from 1,5tonnes of glass bottles and installed as external cladding on a Grade II listed building the Buttermarket in Redruth, Cornwall.
