Biography
Sinne Conan
Sinne Conan is the Executive Director for EU and International Affairs in Finance Denmark. She has extensive experience in EU regulatory affairs from a number of different positions. She has worked with financial services regulation for the past 8 years and is leading Finance Denmark's´ EU efforts with her team in Brussels and Copenhagen. The main policy focus of Finance Denmark is improving the competitiveness of the financial sector to enable banks and investors to contribute to solving the challenges facing Europe in the new geopolitical reality. Prior to her current position Sinne has worked for the Danish government and as a director for EU Affairs in the Danish Industry Federation (DI). Sinne holds various board positions in private companies and civil society organizations.
Per Haugaard
Per Haugaard is the Head of the European Commission’s Representation in Denmark, a role he has held since June 2022. Having joined the Commission in 1993, he has accumulated extensive experience in trade, communications, and international relations. Previously, Haugaard has served as Trade Advisor to President Ursula von der Leyen and as spokesperson for several Commissioners. He has contributed to the EU’s work in G7 and G20 forums and advised on foreign policy matters. Haugaard holds a law degree from the Universities of Copenhagen and Oslo and a master’s in European law from the College of Europe, Bruges.
Michael Holm Olesen
Michael Holm Olesen works as a Senior Business Developer at the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark. With over 15 years of experience in the Danish public investment ecosystem, he has extensive experience with applying for and implementing different guarantee products from the EIB-Group, including five different guarantee products under the current InvestEU program.
Michael Holm Olesen holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and has previously worked as a researcher at Copenhagen Business School and Risoe National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy within the fields of energy policy, strategy, innovation, and industrial dynamics
Morten Høyer
Morten Høyer has been a member of the Danish Industry (DI) Executive Board since 2020. As of April 15, 2024, he serves as Political Director, with overall executive responsibility for DI’s political direction — including cross-cutting political units, analysis, and socio-economic models and planning.
Before joining DI, Morten was Director at Aktive Ejere and previously Director of Policy and Communication at the Danish Agriculture & Food Council. Earlier in his career, he served as a Special Adviser at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.
Kerstin Jorna
Kerstin Jorna is a German national and a civil servant at the European Commission where she has held various positions, amongst others as Head of Cabinet of several Commissioners and different Director posts. Mrs. Jorna is the Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
Mrs. Jorna was Deputy Director-General in the Economic and Financial Affairs general directorate where her areas of responsibility included, amongst others, macroeconomic surveillance of EU Member States, the European Investment Plan and coordination with international financial institutions.
Mrs. Jorna also held positions on the Board of both the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund.
Eike Klapper
Deputy Head of Unit for Access to Finance at the European Commission’s DG GROW. He works to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness by improving access to finance and mobilising investment in the green and digital transitions. He particularly seeks solutions to the geopolitical and economic challenges facing the EU’s competitiveness, including investment, innovation, and job creation.
From 2021 to 2025, he served as Counsellor for Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs at the EU Delegation to the United States. Prior to that, he held various roles within the European Commission in Brussels, including Assistant to the Director-General and Deputy Director-General of DG GROW. He studied Economics at the University of Göttingen and speaks German, English, Spanish, and some French.
Peder Lundquist
Peder Lundquist was appointed CEO of the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) in August 2022. From 2021-2022 Peder held the position as CEO of EKF, which he joined in 2020 as COO and deputy CEO. Before joining EIFO, Peder served as Deputy Permanent Secretary and member of the executive management at The Ministry of Finance with responsibility for state-owned companies, EU finances, climate, energy, and utilities.
Tine Nielsen Hertz
Tine Nielsen Hertz is State Secretary for International and Regulatory Affairs at Denmark’s Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. She leads the Ministry’s European engagement on competitiveness, industrial policy and the Single Market, working with EU institutions and stakeholders to advance regulatory simplification and barrier free cross border trade. Her portfolio spans strategic sectors, innovation and digitalisation, with a strong focus on practical implementation and delivering tangible results. Tine brings extensive experience in policy negotiation, coalition building and shaping frameworks that enable growth and competitiveness across the EU.
Marleen Och
Marleen Och works at the European Commission in the Directorate‑General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union in the unit for sustainable finance.
The unit’s mission is to ensure that the European financial system supports the transition towards a low-carbon, circular and sustainable economy, while promoting financial stability, competitive markets and consumer and investor interests. She contributes to the EU's sustainable finance strategy, the coordination the work of DG FISMA and other DGs on sustainable finance projects, the promotion of international coordination on sustainable finance, and the ongoing EU Taxonomy review.
She is affiliated with KU Leuven University, where she obtained her doctoral degree through research on sustainable finance. She served as an editor for the European Corporate Governance Institute and worked in the European.
Diana Patrascu
With over 16 years in financial services, Diana Patrascu currently leads sustainable finance product development and mandate design at the European Investment Fund (EIF), where she developed the first pan-EU sustainable finance portfolio guarantee. Her work supports financing in line with the EU's green transition ambitions. Previously, she developed, launched, and managed EIF’s InvestEU debt instruments focused on sustainability, innovation, and digitalisation. Before joining EIF, Diana headed funding and capital management at a top-tier commercial bank in Central and Eastern Europe, overseeing long-term funding, IFI relations, and bond issuance—including pioneering local capital market instruments such as subordinated and AT1 bonds, as well as securitisations and portfolio guarantees.
Martin Præstegaard
Martin Præstegaard is the CEO of ATP, the Danish pension fund, managing DKK 698 billion on behalf of the Danish population. ATP’s primary mission is to provide 5.7 million members with a guaranteed lifelong retirement income, serving as a supplement to the state pension.
Emily Smith
Emily is heading the team responsible for the delivery of EIB’s Green Gateway programme and the provision of advisory services related to the design and implementation of financial instruments in the climate and urban sectors. The team contributes to the delivery of the InvestEU Advisory Hub and the fi-compass advisory platform, both funded by the European Commission. Target clients for these advisory services include financial intermediaries, Managing Authorities as well as National Promotional Banks and Institutions across Europe.
Christin Tuxen
Christin Tuxen joined Danske Bank in 2009 and worked for more than a decade on the trading floor as a commodities strategist and eventually heading the FX Strategy unit. In 2021, she transitioned to the Business Customers domain, where she has been heading Direct Banking for the past 3.5 years. While holding a board position in Vipps MobilePay, she also joined the bank's Commercial Leadership Team this year. Christin holds a PhD in Applied Econometrics from University of Copenhagen with research experience from Lehman Brothers, the Bank of England, and the University of Oxford.
