About me

Steffen Møller-Holst holds a PhD in hydrogen technologies (PEM fuel cells), from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Between 1997 and 1999, Møller-Holst was engaged as Research Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory, NM, USA, funded by US Department of Energy's Hydrogen Program.

Moreover, Møller-Holst has (since 2006) contributed actively to the establishment of the European Public Private Partnership entitled Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) Chairing the Transport Committee of FCH JU since 2008. Currently, Møller-Holst contributes to shaping the priorities for and facilitates the day-to-day operation of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership (2021-2027).

On a daily basis, he is coordinating and further developing SINTEF's significant hydrogen project portfolio, counting more than 35 FCH JU-funded projects since 2010. Møller-Holst is, moreover, involved in implementing hydrogen technologies, with focus on green hydrogen production, refuelling and use of fuel cells in heavy duty trucks and new designs for utilisation of hydrogen and ammonia as fuel for ships.
