About me
President and one of the founders of SDG4MED; naval architect with 38 years’ experience in innovation and regulatory affairs, his past working experience includes Innovation and Communication Director at RINA (the Italian ship classification society), authorized representative of Italian Ministry of Transport for digitalisation and decarbonization of ports and maritime transport, technical director of SEA Europe (the European Shipyards’ & Maritime Equipment Association, www.seaeurope.eu), member of several EU Commission’s working groups such as e.g. those related to digitization (DTLF managed by DG MOVE), decarbonisation (ESSF, LNG subgroup managed by DG ENV) and ship safety (Fire Safety Expert Group managed by EMSA) and Director General of Fondazione CS MARE.
As of today, he is also Secretariat of the Coalition of Mayors for Mission Ocean, EU Climate Pact Ambassador, Delegate for Italy of Fundacion Philippe Cousteau “Union de los Oceanos” and member of the UN Ocean Decade.
My organisation
"SDG4MED – Sustainable Development Goal for the Mediterranean" - SDG4MED - is a no profit association aiming at acting as an "observatory of sustainable development objectives (SGDs) for the Mediterranean" contributing in general to the cultural debate starting from these themes defined in the UN 2030 Agenda, orienting its activities towards initiatives, local, national and international, aimed at aggregating and involving Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Small Municipalities of the Mediterranean Basin in achieving the SGDs.
