Crestwing is on a mission to make wave energy mainstream and introduce a serious alternative to wind and solar power as well as providing the energy market with dependable and competitively priced renewable energy. Crestwing has designed and developed an innovative, resilient, and cost-efficient Wave Energy Converter (WEC) and is positioned to be the go-to wave energy OEM when developing large utility scale energy projects. The development of the C-WEC has been ongoing since 2005. The development has gone from small models gradually upscaling while collecting more knowledge. Throughout the years, the basic concept has been improved but there has never been made any fundamental changes in either construction, PTO, or the mooring system as the entire system has shown itself well-functioning in all manners.
